Crosstraining & Fitness

Join one of the toughest workouts in the Vancouver fitness arena: our Crosstraining & Fitness class. This workout style is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

Similar to the CrossFit philosophy, we aim to deliver fitness that is, by design, broad, general and inclusive. The program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual. The load and intensity is adjusted depending the individual’s ability level.

Our Crosstraining & Fitness programming follows CrossFit’s varied functional movement base, and an emphasis on optimizing physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. However, we strongly feel that Olympic lifting should not be used as part of metabolic conditioning. Therefore Olympic lifting and heavy weight training are taught separate from the metabolic conditioning component. This allows a focus on technique and adequate recovery, taught and led by experienced personal trainers. Our Crosstraining & Fitness instructors are all certified personal trainers and certified CrossFit coaches as well. Furthermore, Precision Athletics’ vision is to help as many people as possible achieve their health and fitness goals. To this end, we promote a highly professional and respectful training environment. Lastly, although we feel our Crosstraining & Fitness classes can be scaled to all fitness levels, we offer other programs that achieve the end result of improved health as well. High intensity functional movement training is not the only way to improve fitness.

Due to safety and workout effectiveness, we must monitor entry into our Crosstraining & Fitness classes. Those with no experience in this style of high intensity training must progress through a series of individual or group foundation training before taking part in our regular scheduled classes. Four one-on-one sessions of Crosstraining & Fitness foundation classes, or twelve weeks of Beginner Crosstraining & Fitness classes, will educate a new participant in proper technique and programming style.

Crosstraining & Fitness foundation classes are $65 for a one-on-one appointment or $40 per person for partner training. See our Group Fitness Class rates for prices on Beginner Crosstraining & Fitness classes.
