FAQs

What equipment do I need for my class?

None. Unlike other Boot Camps and fitness classes, we will provide you with all the equipment you’ll need. But be sure to bring a water bottle and a towel.

Are outdoor classes cancelled when it rains?

No, we just move the class inside to our fitness facility!

I haven’t worked out in awhile—do I need to be in good shape to join a group fitness class?

No problem, we design each class to be scalable to different ability levels so that everyone can participate in our classes.

Can I participate if I have an existing injury?

We will not allow you to participate in one of our classes if you have an existing injury that could be made worse. However if you have obtained written approval from a physician or physiotherapist stating you are able to participate, you are free join the class at your own risk. We will require a copy of the signed and dated note from your physician or physiotherapist for your files.

How do I register and pay?

Either call 604-803-4697 or e-mail us.  If you are new to Precision Athletics, be sure to let us know so we can set you up with your free week of classes. We will then send you a confirmation email with directions to the facility and links to forms that must be filled out and brought to your first class.

After your first class we will review the group fitness package options with you and answer any questions. If you decide you would like to sign up, we will set up payment and then you are ready to go!

Do you have a payment plan?

Yes, for our group fitness programs your credit card will be charged at the beginning of each month for the term of your commitment. If this payment plan doesn’t suit your needs, we are willing to discuss other options.

What if I miss a class?

If you miss a scheduled class you can make up another in the same or different program within that week. If you are unable to make up the class in the same week, we will do our best to arrange a spot for you in another program but you must contact us in advance to do so.

Unfortunately we do not provide refunds for any missed classes.

What and when should I eat before class?

Eat a light meal about two hours before you work out. Your body prefers to use carbohydrates as fuel, so your pre-workout meal should include plenty of carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, fruits and vegetables. You don’t need to avoid protein and fat, however don’t overdo either of these nutrients if you will be exercising within an hour or two. If you end up eating a large protein, fibre and fat-filled meal, wait about four hours before exercising.

If you feel hungry right before your workout, pick a small snack like piece of fruit, a sports beverage or some fruit juice.
Hydration is important for your health and exercise will cause a depletion of water when you sweat. Drink a glass of water an hour or so before your workout and again after your workout. You can also sip water throughout your workout.

Do you offer private classes?

Yes, we offer corporate fitness training and can arrange classes for other small groups. The minimum size is six. Please contact us for more information.
