I signed up for my first boot camp with Precision this spring and have really been enjoying it over the past few months. I do not even mind getting out of bed a little earlier on Boot Camp days as I know how great I will feel afterwards. The workouts push you but are not super competitive, and the exercises change every session so boredom is never a factor. Plus hot showers and towel service on site! – Katie G.
The workout is intense, varied and practical. I’d never do this kind of varied exercise on my own, and if I tried, I wouldn’t do it right, or last very long. I couldn’t afford a personal trainer several times a week either. The boot camp is much better in a way: it’s not you and an expert: it’s you and a small group of others who also have to get to work at 8:30 and want to be a bit more fit, have more energy, etc.
As the new guy, I was a bit worried- I heard stories of another boot camp survivor where it was like some elitist body model competition, with a lot of judgment and ‘drill sergeant’ type orders. Precision is the opposite: everyone in the program is normal, encouraging and totally down-to-earth. There’s no competition except against your own track record. The trainer knows what he’s doing, keeps on top of your performance for the whole course, and shares knowledge about your personal physical situation freely.
I sit behind a computer all day, was starting to get sciatica (at 32!) and didn’t want to get any more chunky….I can (now) navigate through a day with energy (my boss said they’ve never seen me with this much in all the years I worked there), I stopped having to see a chiropractic doctor frequently to deal with a lack of exercise and stretching, and have started to balance out all this high-energy exercise with yoga.
The gym is close to anyone downtown, showers and towels make it easy for me to get to work on time, I’m way better prepared for the snowboard season this year, and when I compare the price to a regular gym membership or other fitness programs (or yoga classes!), its really, really cheap. There’s no comparison: trying to do it alone gives results which don’t compare to having a non-judgmental, multi-level group around you….If you’re starting out like me this boot camp is a hell of an introduction to a life that’s responsible to your own future health. – ‘Graphic Guy’
I just completed the three month CrossFit class taught by Pepe and Craig. It was awesome! It was the best full body conditioning I have ever done. Even though it is a group class it felt like a personal training session. Pepe and Craig really push you to succeed and improve. They take the time to focus on each person in the group. I have seen a large improvement in my overall strength and conditioning.

For those who want to get away from the mainstream camouflage gear and cliche Venice Beach look, Precision Athletics is the place to be. I found them a few years ago (before the Boot Camp phenomena) on the net because I needed a simple group atmosphere workout plan, without feeling judged of my exercise abilities, all the while keeping the cost back too.
Each trainer is more than qualified, and constantly upgrading their knowledge and background around North America, keeping up with new techniques to bring back to the gym. Precision Athletics has been my choice by far -- I love it, because the results are reality to what I’ve put in. There should not be any excuse for anyone to prolong their health anymore! With different schedules available, an hour or two a week is great compensation for a 24hr buzz of esteem. Tell yourself to try it out for a term and decide where you want to be after that.
