David Sims - Personal Trainer
As a youth David was continually involved in competitive sports from basketball and volleyball to track, swimming and judo. Even though he was a natural athlete, fitness wasn’t his initial career choice. He was working out at the gym every day, loving the burn and avoiding his day job. With the encouragement of Craig and Pepe, he quit that job, signed up for personal trainer certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and started working as a trainer in 2008 at a private gym in KItsilano.
David finds working with clients incredibly satisfying. He loves to help empower people to do things that they initially thought were physically impossible. His goal is to determine where your limit is, and push you there. You’re bound to get much more from your workout than you ever expected. Don’t let his trademark scowl intimidate you: he’s actually really nice and funny (and likely just thinking about when he can have his next cup of coffee).
