Keto Diet Dessert Recipes: Get Ready to Indulge

Can you indulge in dessert while on the ketogenic (keto) diet? After all, most desserts consist of carbs and some serious amounts of sugar. How in the heck do you easily satisfy sugar cravings when sugar = carbs?

What are the best keto desserts to indulge in? Are keto desserts healthy? (Short answer: it depends on how you define “healthy.” Long answer: They’re healthier to eat than regular desserts, especially if ingredients include whole foods like nuts, coconut, fruit and have no refined sugars).

True, many recipes are not for the kitchen novice, but there are definitely some that could be considered tasty easy keto desserts. If you miss eating fluffy birthday cake, this may be your next best option. Food blogger Joe Duff, The Diet Chef, has created this deliciously creamy Healthy Low Calorie Birthday Cake Shake.

And while it’s obviously not the same as scarfing back vanilla cake with frosting, it’s a heck of a lot more healthy for you—and packed with protein.

If you’re missing the texture of cake in your mouth, Joe has several other great recipes to help you cope. Poking around his website we found Best Keto Chocolate Cake and   The above pictured “mug cake” recipe caught our eye because it involves the endearing combination of coffee and chocolate (yes, please) and in made in a microwave in – wait for it – under five minutes!

Joe does a nice job in his posts explaining flour replacements and sweetener substitutions to lower carbs (his “carb-saving pro-tips”).

Sometimes you have a craving for something rich and creamy. Specifically, cheesecake.

Cheesecake while on the keto diet is a delicious dessert we can really enjoy: High in fat, moderate in protein and low in carbs. Regular cheesecake is high in carbs because of all the sugar involved.

We searched up the most popular Keto Cheesecake recipes according to Google, Pinterest & Facebook (ranking, rating & number of votes), and came up with these three options. Word to the wise: Read the recipe notes in full before jumping in, there are some really good tips there to help you bake the perfect cheesecake that will have the no-Keto people fooled!

Keto Cheesecake by Chocolate Covered Katie : Katie says, “Just 5 ingredients!…There’s even a no-bake option!”

So as you can see, it’s easy to enjoy delicious healthier desserts while on the Keto Diet. It’s also easy to spend hours searching up keto dessert recipe ideas online—we love Pinterest for the ability to zero in on the best-looking ones.
