As a kettlebell training pro and as a personal trainer, Art is a valued member of our personal training team. His hard work at the gym is only exemplified by his passion for helping people find their inner strength.

To celebrate Art’s contribution to Precision Athletics, we got to know him a little better with a few questions:

Why did you become a personal trainer?

Sport has always been an important part of my life. My mother was a professional athlete back in ’70s and always taught me that it’s important to control your body and mind and that regular physical exercises can help to fight all the hardships life throws at us. Since my childhood I accepted and embraced that knowledge and when the time has come, I decided that I must share my experience with others and help people to become their better selves teaching how to better control their bodies and mind; how to overcome their bad habits, fear of imperfection and how to fight stress on daily basis using physical exercises.

What’s your training background?

As I already mentioned I have been with sports from childhood, I started with swimming at age six, then followed Greco-Roman wrestling, sambo, boxing, track and field (100 and 200 meters, high jump), Olympic weightlifting and finally my favorite – Kettlebell (Girevoy) Sport. Recently I started taking gymnastics classes which I always wanted to learn, and which helps me to improve my client’s workout routines by adding some elements from that beautiful but very demanding sport.

What’s your favourite part of your job at Precision?

The best part is the team I work with, feels like you work with family, everyone is ready to help in any aspect of your job and take the load from your shoulders if need to be.

What do you do when you are not working?

When weather permits, I like spending time outside working out, playing tennis with my daughter, hiking or just walking in the park. Also, I enjoy cooking, reading and spending time with my family.
